FastBridge assessment data now connects with Freckle and myON
We recently welcomed FastBridge to the Renaissance family, and we’re excited to share that we’re now able to connect FastBridge assessment data with both Freckle and myON. This allows us to further support the value of assessment-driven practice in your schools.
FastBridge provides research-based universal screening and progress monitoring for academics and social-emotional behavior (SEB) with intervention recommendations. FastBridge’s valid and reliable assessments help educators identify students’ academic and SEB needs faster, align the right interventions at the right time, and measure whether interventions are helping students catch up—all in one platform.
Connecting FastBridge and Freckle
FastBridge and Freckle work together to identify the math and ELA skills that students are ready to build and to provide each learner with just-right practice on those targeted skills. Using FastBridge assessment scores as a placement into Freckle simplifies the placement experience for students and teachers. Freckle adapts to meet students where they are as they begin their learning journey, and then guides them forward with fun, challenging activities.
Why is this connection so helpful? Students’ pretest levels in Freckle will automatically be set at the levels corresponding to their FastBridge aMath (connects with Freckle for math) and/or aReading (connects with Freckle for ELA) assessment score, allowing students to practice at the level that is right for them.
How are Freckle and FastBridge connected? Students take the aMath and/or aReading assessment in the Fall (or Winter) and receive a score, as shown below:
- For math, levels are set in each domain based on overall aMath scores
- For ELA, reading levels are set based on overall aReading scores
The Renaissance team then uploads students’ aMath and aReading results into Freckle to set their pretest levels for math and ELA automatically, without teachers needing to take any additional action:
The connection is set up by your Renaissance Implementation Manager via a data upload and is available at no cost.

Connecting FastBridge and myON
By connecting myON to FastBridge aReading, schools and districts can extend the value of their assessment data by enabling educators and students to identify books at the just-right reading level for a more personalized reading experience.
Why is this connection so helpful? Students who read authentic texts at the just-right level enjoy reading more, so being able to match students with interesting books at the right level can foster positive reading habits and growth in literacy across the school and district. Connecting FastBridge assessment data to myON makes it easy for teachers to personalize instruction and inspire student growth.
How are myON and FastBridge connected? FastBridge aReading results are uploaded into myON by your Renaissance Implementation Manager and aligned to the appropriate Lexile® measure, so students can easily find books that match their reading level and interests. Educators can use the Lexile measure to guide personalized instruction by knowing which books are just right for their students.
Boosting student growth in the year ahead
Using FastBridge assessment data with Freckle and myON can boost math and reading growth in your school or district. By leveraging FastBridge data in the myON and Freckle platforms, teachers can provide more personalized instruction and practice by knowing which books are at the right level for their students, and where students can use extra math or ELA practice. You can leverage FastBridge assessment data to deliver differentiated math and ELA practice, allowing students to practice at the level that is right for them.
